While the bulk of scholarship deadlines are in the fall and spring, summer scholarships for the next academic year should not be overlooked. During the long, lazy months of summer, several awards call for content submission. A slower application season could actually work in your favour. Since there are fewer applications for summer scholarships, you will face a lower pool of qualifiers than you will after college classes resume. For the next academic year, the Freehold Branch of AAUW will grant two $2,000 scholarships: the Lew Williams Scholarship and the Leila Sulkes Scholarship. To apply, you must be a female of at least 25 years of age who lives in one of the following communities: Colts Neck, Englishtown, Farmingdale, Freehold Borough, Freehold Township, Howell, Manalapan, Marlboro, Morganville; and you must be a resident of one of the following communities: Colts Neck, Englishtown, Farmingdale, Freehold Borough, Freehold Township, Howell, Manalapan, Marlboro, Morganville. and a minimum GPA of 3.0 Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree programme with a minimum of 60 credits completed, or a master’s degree programme with a minimum of six credits completed. ACF American Advertising Federation-NM Scholarship

The American Advertisement Federation-New Mexico (AAF-NM) Scholarship Fund was founded to offer financial assistance to worthy men and women who wish to pursue careers in advertising. To apply, you must be a New Mexico resident enrolled full-time as a junior or senior in one of the following majors at a four-year New Mexico public or non-profit college or university: Business (with a marketing emphasis), Journalism (with an advertising emphasis), Strategic Communications, Advertising and Marketing, Graphic Design, Fine Art, Photography, or Illustration with a focus in advertising or public relations. The Andrew Piech Memorial Scholarship

The Automobile Technology Scholarship Fund assists students studying automotive technology and associated applied technologies. Per year, scholarships are given to graduating high school seniors and/or college students in New Mexico. The David R. Woodling Memorial Scholarship

The David R. Woodling Memorial Scholarship is available to students pursuing a diploma or degree in metals technology with a focus on machine tool technology and welding at an accredited nonprofit or public educational institution. Applicants must have lived in New Mexico for at least one year and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.Must be a high school senior, a current college student, or a non-traditional student admitted into a metals technology programme with a high school diploma/GED. ACF Trythall Family Scholarship for Excellence in Continuing Education

Barbara and Duane Trythall understand the challenges encountered by those who work full-time when pursuing a degree at a nonprofit or public higher education institution. This fund was founded by the Trythalls to help people who show a strong desire to achieve a career goal. In Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, or Torrance County, New Mexico, you must have completed at least 20 college credit hours a week. Applicants must be studying the fields of Healthcare, Education, Science (not social science), Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance or Computer Science.
