The City of Sonoma announced their first annual Earth Day Photography Contest. Individuals can take a picture to celebrate the beauty, strangeness, and amazing qualities of the planet Earth. The submissions are open from April 19, 2021, to April 25, 2021, and winners will be announced on April 29, 2021. Entrants can take a photo of their favourite natural spot, plants, or creatures in Sonoma and submit it by 11:59 PM on the last date. There are three age categories, and only one photo per person per age category is accepted. The age groups are 12 and under, 13 to 20 and 21 and over. Entries can be submitted using the official website in JPG or PNG format with a maximum size of 25 MB.
Participating in photo competitions can give people an opportunity to win prizes while simultaneously raising awareness of certain issues. These contests can be a good and easy way to get valuable feedback from organizers/sponsors,/judges. Also, the entrants can know if their artwork or photos are award-worthy or not.
