Who May Be Eligible
If you meet the following requirements, then you are eligible to apply:
- Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited trade school or university as a full-time student at the time of submission;
- Candidates must follow all application guidelines outlined above;
- Only one entry per student per year;
- Employees of Assembly Supplies Co. and related companies, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to apply;
- This scholarship is open to welding students of any nationality or citizenship;
- By entering the Welding Scholarship Contest, you grant copyright ownership of your work to Assembly Supplies Co. All essay submissions become the property of Assembly Supplies Co., which may be used in whole or in part, for promotional purposes.
How to Apply
To apply for this program, candidates need to fill out an online application form with right and complete information including name, address, email, phone number, university, and year of graduation in the header of your essay.
Supporting Documents
Applicants will also need to write down an essay of 500 words one of the three listed questions:

- What are the four types of welding and which one is best, why?
Email completed essay as an attachment to scholarships@hotairtools.com with “Welding Scholarship” in the subject line. The scholarship will be provided to the best welding or engineering essay, determined by the selected panel of judges. The essay will be published on the Hot Air Blog.
Benefits
Applicants will be provided with a $500 scholarship. This award will support the higher education of deserving eligible students.
