Latin American and Latino/a Studies Gift Fund

The Grand Valley State University is offering the Latin American and Latino/a Studies Gift Fund. Students who are minoring in Latin American and Latino/a Study are welcomed to apply. Students in good academic standing and a faculty reference may apply for mini-grants up to $500.

Grand Valley State University is offering Mark A & Elizabeth C. Murray Study Abroad Scholarship. Students must be enrolled full-time as degree-seeking students and making satisfactory academic progress. Recipients must be taken for credit coursework outside of the United States of America. The winners will get award range from up to $1,500 – $5,000.

ALBA George Watt Memorial Essay Contest

This annual essay competition was established in 1998 to honor Lincoln vet George Watt, a writer and lifelong activist central to the creation of ALBA. Students from anywhere in the world are invited to submit an essay or thesis chapter about any aspect of the Spanish Civil War, the global political or cultural struggles against fascism in the 1920s and 1930s. The prize is awarded in three categories: pre-collegiate, undergraduate and graduate studies.

Fund for Education Abroad

The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) offers a range of scholarships for summer study abroad, based on certain geographic, demographic, personal, and program specific criteria. FEA strongly believes in the importance of diversifying students studying abroad, hence, students who are traditionally underrepresented in international student populations are encouraged to apply.The scholarship will give Up to $10,000 for Full Academic Year, $5,000 for Fall and Spring Semester, minimum of $1,250.
