Water is important for life on Earth, and the Louisville area is fortunate to be nestled along the mighty Ohio River and close to beautiful streams and wetlands. However, there is a threat of frequent flooding and pollution to many of the waterways. Participants can capture images of what water means to them and submit their entries for this contest. The first-place winner will receive $200, the second-place winner will receive $100, the third-place winner will receive $50, and the honourable mention will receive $25. The age categories are Kindergarten-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, middle school, and high school. The winning photos will also be featured in an exhibit this upcoming fall as part of the Louisville Photo Biennial.
