University of Michigan Gloria Wille Bell and Carlos R. Bell Merit Scholarship

The University of Michigan is now recognizing and encouraging excellence amongst its new students through its generous Gloria Wille Bell and Carlos R. Bell Scholarship. This program is a merit funding program that will be granted to students based on their academic record. Who May Be Eligible?

Please fulfil these requirements to be considered for this program:

  • Entrants must be first-year U-M students;
  • Candidates should show exceptional academic talent;
  • Applicants must have graduated from high school with a grade-point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale;
  • Participants must be full-time students pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or another related scientific field in the College of Engineering or the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts;
  • Aspirants must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident.

How to Apply

First of all, entrants need to apply for an eligible course at the university. After that, they will be eligible to apply for this scholarship by using the Bell Scholarship website.

Benefits

Resident candidates will be awarded $10,000 per year. On the other hand, Non-resident students will receive $20,000 per year as the award. This scholarship is a renewal for four years of undergraduate study. Renewal scholarship will be awarded to those who meet the specific requirements of the university.
