To encourage Latino students’ participation in the field of STEM, Silicon Valley Community Foundation is now offering outstanding Latinos in Technology Scholarships. This year, the foundation is offering up to a hundred one-time and renewable scholarships. Students must be of Latino or Hispanic origin and have a declared major in and been accepted into a STEM program. Both United States citizens and eligible non-citizen are eligible to avail of these opportunities.
These funding programs have been established by Silicon Valley Community Foundation to provide students with the financial support that they need to take their educational journey further. Along with the amazing award amount, deserving candidates will be granted the chance to do an internship sponsoring corporate investors. These scholarships are wonderful educational opportunities through which students can gain financial backing as well as working experience.

Who May Be Eligible
Students with the following criteria will be chosen for these programs:
- Applicants must be of Latino or Hispanic origin (as defined by U.S. Census Bureau);
- Candidates must have a declared major in and been accepted into a STEM program;
- Aspirants must have a minimum cumulative college grade point average of 3.0;
- Participants must demonstrate financial need;
- Candidates should be United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.

Benefits
Scholarships are valued at $30,000. These programs will be granted to students for over three years if renewal eligibility requirements are met. Apart from monetary support, students will get internship opportunities with Latinos in Technology Scholarship corporate funders from Silicon Valley.
