Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards

Getting some funds to pay the educational expenses is what everyone looking for to ease their education. The Hispanic Heritage Foundation is pleasingly introducing its valuable Youth Awards. Candidates who are enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2021 are eligible to apply. Fellows should be a United States Citizen or permanent resident or qualify under the DACA and must be enrolled at an accredited higher education institution in 2021-2022 with an excellent academic standing.

The goal of the scholarship is to support the youth of the nation and make higher education possible for them. This award provides needed financial assistance to the candidates and lowers their financial burden. It encourages the new generation to make most of their educational opportunities. The award reduces the financial burden on the students and helps them in concentrating on their education rather than on finances or academic debts. The award has been initiated especially to contribute towards the growth of society.

Established by the White House in 1987, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) is an award-winning nonprofit that identifies, inspires, prepares, and positions Latino leaders in the classroom, community, and workforce to meet America’s priorities. The Youth Awards was founded in 1998 by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. Now entering its 22nd year, the Youth Awards honors Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their excellence in various categories including Business & Finance, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Education, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Social Justice, and Technology.

Who May Be Eligible?

Get a glance of eligibility requirements before applying for the award:

  • Candidates should be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2021.
  • The fellow must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale.
  • Applicants must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2021-2022.
  • Candidates should be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines)
  • Fellows should be a U.S. permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or qualify under the DACA.
