Hickman Scholars Program

If you are recently enrolled full-time or currently applying for a doctoral program in actuarial science or a field related to actuarial science filed in Canada or the United States, this program will reduce your financial burden. The Society of Actuaries is happily offering the wonderful Hickman Scholars Program. Applicants should be holding an Associateship or Fellowship membership of an accrediting actuarial organization having two exams passed to be eligible for this scholarship.

The Society of Actuaries is dedicated to expanding the Actuarial industry with the help of different programs. Hickman Scholars Program is one of these programs designed to increase the number of professionals in the Actuarial field. The scholarship encourages students to work hard and expand the Actuarial field with their education and passion. This program initiates the growth of candidates by helping them do get some practical experience in the field.

The Society of Actuaries started in 1889 as the world’s largest professional organization of actuarial, having more than 30,000 members actuarial. This society is designed to support the actuaries by giving them extraordinary opportunities. Society’s motives are to grow the actuarial field by offering possible support to passionate people. Society works best towards advancing actuaries careers.

Who May Be Eligible?

If you are interested in this scholarship, please take a look at the criteria:

  • Students enrolled full-time or currently applying for a doctoral program in actuarial science or a field related to actuarial science filed in Canada or United States are welcome.
  • Applicants should be holding an Associateship or Fellowship membership of an accrediting actuarial organization having two exams passed to be eligible for this scholarship.

Candidates should download the application and complete it with all the details and materials. Fellows should maintain the authenticity of the information they are submitting with the application. Fellows should submit all the needed materials with care. Incomplete application will not be entertained by society. Late applications will not be accepted. Benefits

Candidates will receive a stipend of $20,000 per academic year. Applicants should use the amount only to lower their financial worries. This amount must be used to pay the educational needs of the candidates like tuition, books and other related needs. These scholarships encourage students to do better in their careers and achieve their dreams with hard work and perseverance.
