Then you have an extraordinary and deserving chance to get some funds to pay for your education. The Society of 1st Infantry Division is expecting applications for their worthy Huebner Scholarships. Candidates should be high school seniors who are the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the Division as well as children of active duty 1st infantry division soldiers of the United States army to apply for these scholarships.

The purpose of the society is to offer some funds for the children of heroes who served the nation without thinking twice. These scholarships are designed after the named Lieutenant General Clarence L. Huebner. He has commanded the Big Red One during World War II. These scholarships are exclusively offered to reduce the financial burden on these students and support them in making the most of their education.

The society was founded in 1918 and worked extensively towards their goals since then. The society is the group of soldiers served the Big Red One in World War I, World War II, the Persian Gulf during the Cold War in Afghanistan and Iraq. The society proudly offers several activities and programs to grow the families of the loved ones in this group. The society aims to support children with different initiatives.

Who May Be Eligible?

For applying to get the funds, please check the criteria first:

Candidates should be high school seniors who are the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the Division as well as children of active duty 1st infantry division soldiers of the United States army to apply for these scholarships.

How to Apply

Only the eligible candidates should apply for the funds through an online application form. Please download the application and complete it with all the required details and materials without any negligence. Fellows should strictly follow the deadline. All the required materials must be submitted with the application. Applicants must mail completed application to the 1st Infantry Division Foundation, P.O. Box 607, Ambler, PA 19002.

Supporting Documents

  • Essay of 200 words on a problem country facing today.
  • A recent transcript and test scores must be provided. A letter of acceptance from a college or university is required.
  • Two letters of recommendation must be submitted. One should mandatorily be from the principal, teacher, or a guidance counsellor.
  • Proof of your relationship with parents or grandparents must be submitted.

Benefits

Six students will be selected and awarded scholarships worth $10,000 each. This amount will be distributed over four years. This amount must only be utilized to pay the educational expenses of the students like tuition, books, and other verified needs. These scholarships encourage students to do better in their academics and maintain a good academic record.

Application Deadline

Candidates should submit their application before May 31, 2021. The scholarship committee will not consider incomplete applications.
