2021 World Bank Youth Summit Competition

Last year, the pandemic brought many harsh experiences and incidents along for all of us. 2020 has been a period that is too hard to forget for everyone. During that uncertain time, some of us lost our jobs, loved ones, mental peace and physical health, while others stuck in another city or country and had to stay away from their families and friends and survive alone. But some positive things also happened with all of us while we were fighting against that disease, such as we got to know the value of our life, time and our family, we learnt to stay together in harsh time and remain resilient in the face of adversity and also helping who are in need. Keeping this in mind, World Bank has come forward with a youth summit competition for 2021. Students who belong to the member countries of the World Bank are invited to participate in this program.

Though there are many differences among people, whether it is cultural or mindset, but whenever this kind of problem comes in front of us, we stand together and help one another. The World Bank has brought this competition to know the ideas of young people that aim at building back better. The best ideas will support either of the two youth summit themes: a resilient recovery for the people and a resilient recovery for the planet. All participants will be mentored by Youth Summit 2019 finalists and World Bank expert and network with leading professionals and young social entrepreneurs around the world. They will also have chances to participate and learn in events and workshops, and seed-funding.
