Who May Be Eligible
If you meet the given requirements, then you can qualify for this program:
- Applications of this program are open to all African American and Hispanic undergraduate and law school students and incoming first-year college students.
- The candidate must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Candidates must have a demonstrated financial need.
How to Apply
A complete application must include the following:
- A 750-1,000 word essay which is describing the applicant’s situation as a minority with a single parent, the impact that it had on them, and how it has shaped them into the person they are today. In the essay, applicants should also address their college, law school, and career plans and how this scholarship will help them achieve those plans.
- A current, unofficial academic transcript from the candidates’ school.

Selected candidates will receive $500 as an award. This award amount will help students advance their education and lessen their financial burden. Students can overcome their financial challenges and reach their highest potential.
