In today’s time, we humans have become dependent on technology. From working, connecting with loved ones to studying, technology has become an integral part of our lives. Over the decades, technology has brought majors changes in our world as well as daily life. In short, it has revolutionized the way we talk to people, do our work and study. New gadgets with advanced technology are being presented in the market by tech companies. These gadgets have made things easier for us by putting helpful information on our fingertips. Technology is for our convenience and for making impossible tasks possible for us, not for misuse. Since cyber crimes are rising with each passing year, it has become essential to promote the safe, responsible, and successful use of technology. With such motive, Trend Micro Incorporated has introduced an excellent program called “What’s Your Story Online Video Contest”.
This is an online video contest encouraging and promoting internet safety for kids and families. This program is divided into two categories: individuals and schools. For the first category, residents of the fifty United States, District of Columbia, Canada (excluding Quebec) who are students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 or enrolled in college or university will be selected. On the other hand, with respect to the latter one, the contest is available for public and private schools, Kindergarten to Grade 12 students who are residents of the USA and Canada. From grand prize to runner prize, multiple awards will be distributed to students. The idea of the organization behind running such a contest is to raise awareness of the safe use of the internet. Nowadays, people are becoming the prey of cybercrimes, especially teenagers who are likely to fall into criminals or indulge in illegal activities.
