Earth’s environment is dealing with many problems caused by pollution, decreasing forest, technology and overconsumption. We, humans, are harming our mother nature, and as a result of it, we are facing its dangerous outcomes such as rising global warming, decreasing water level, drastic change in weather and draught. We should preserve the environment by hindering the negative impact on nature, and by doing so, we can create a better world where are upcoming generation can live peacefully. To do its part in protecting the earth, the Environmental Protection Agency has designed an excellent program named “President’s Environmental Youth Award”. Students of kindergarten through 12th grade can send their entry to be a part of this program. Applicants must be the citizen of the United States or its territories or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residency.

President’s Environmental Youth Award has been devoted to recognize and reward unique environmental projects by K-12 youth that can make a positive impact on our environment. The only purpose of this program is to promote awareness of our nation’s natural resources and inspire positive community involvement. This program is the way for the Environmental Protection Agency to exhibit its commitment toward environment preservation-related efforts taken by the young students. By awarding students for their good work that they are doing for the earth, this organization wants to encourage other students to do the same and make a contribution in protecting our home: Earth. Making our young generation more aware of our natural resources and environment is the most critical part of EPA efforts since it knows that today young generation is tomorrow’s future, and they hold power to bring positive difference on earth through their initiatives.
