University of Cincinnati CSO/CCM Diversity Fellowship

The University of Cincinnati has an amazing opening for CSO/CCM Diversity Fellowship which is a two-year-long learning experience for graduate-level violin, viola, violoncello, and double bass players.

There are five fellowships available for qualifying candidates. By providing full tuition support, this programme will help students pursue two-year-long a Master of Music (MM) or Artist Diploma (AD) program at CCM. Apart from monetary aid, all the successful applicants will get guidance from CCM’s illustrious faculty members, and the chance to participate in arts entrepreneurial seminars and other performing and non-performing community engagement activities.

Who May Be Eligible?

To see whether you are eligible for this programme or not, please check the given criteria out:

  • Applicants should be members of historically underrepresented groups in both American orchestras and professional music conservatories (African-Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Alaska Natives (Inuit), Native Hawaiians, or other Pacific islanders), and/or
  • Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents representing the first generation to attend college and graduate school, and/or
  • Entrants must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents who have followed non-traditional pathways to college due to exceptional talent and motivation in the face of adversity, such as societal, economic, or academic disadvantages, and/or
  • Participants should be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents with a demonstrated commitment to including and applying diverse backgrounds and perspectives to learning, scholarship, service, and civic leadership, and/ or
  • Applicants must have participated in strong music programs in institutions such as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) or through organizations that focus on diversity and inclusion in music.
