UNCF in partnership with the Ruby L. Bailey Scholarship fund is glad to announce they are accepting applications now for the year 2021. The following scholarship is a need-based scholarship specially designed for the black students currently attending HBCU colleges and has any unmet monetary requirements. The following scholarship targets students who are not financially well-0off and cannot afford to acquire education. The following scholarship helps such students in covering their educational expenses and not worry about lack of funds. The grant will award one lucky and the neediest candidate scholarship money of $3,000. The first instalment of $2,000 will be paid for the Fall/Spring and the rest of $1,000 will be given for Summer classes or the next Fall semester.
Now, to be eligible for this scholarship, the applicants should have a minimum aggregate of 3.0 GPA on the 4.0 scale and should file a FAFSA every year. The applicant must have an unmet monetary need, confirmed by the understudy’s school or college’s monetary guide office, and should be enlisted full-time at a UNCF part foundation or other HBCU. The applicant must also be a black/African American. preference will be given to applicants who are single guardians or offspring of a single-parent family. The deadline to submit your entries for the following scholarship is November 15, 2021.

Who is Eligible?
The eligibility criteria for the following scholarship is as follows:
- The applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on the 4.0 scale.
- The applicant must file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) each year.
- The applicant must have demonstrated unmet financial need, verified by the student’s college or university’s financial aid office.

In order to be considered for the scholarship, the interested individuals are expected to complete their application including all the concerned documents and a one-page personal statement regarding the student’s career goals and interests and must be submitted online.
