Philosophy Program Awards

The University of Nebraska at Kearney is seeking to reward the students who hold talent in the field of philosophy through its philosophy program awards. Each year, these awards offer nearly $50,000 in scholarships to students. Students who are or planning to major or minor in philosophy will get $30,000 as award while about $20,000 is awarded in the form of one-course scholarships to students who have demonstrated an aptitude and interest in philosophy and would like to take another course in Philosophy. Half of this latter amount will be given to freshmen students.

The Philosophy and Religion New Major Award

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is currently hosting a wonderful funding program called ‘The Philosophy and Religion New Major Award’. The University of New Orleans is pleased to sponsor first-year philosophy scholarship for any incoming, first-time freshman who declares philosophy as their major. The ideal candidate of this program must have an ACT score of at least 23 or an SAT score of at least 1060 and a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5 as well as has a full-time status enrolled in courses consistent with the four-year plan in philosophy.
