NCSS 102nd Annual Conference Student Art Contest

The Rho Kappa Advisory Council and National Council for the Social Studies declare their 1st Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society Art Contest. They are looking forward to seeing your logo and art ideas for the 2022 Annual Conference Student Art Contest. The theme of the NCSS 2022 Annual Conference Student Art contest is “Revolutionary! Thoughts, and Actions Change the World”. The conference will be held in Philadelphia, PA, between December 2-4, 2022. You are invited by NCSS to share your unique logos or creative artworks to present the topic given. It’s your opportunity to be unique and innovative. You are welcome to show how your logo or fine art can be progressive and inspire actions and thoughts that can change the world.

Now, as for eligibility, the candidate must be either a secondary school or elementary school student. For secondary school students, it is not compulsory to be a member of Rho Kappa to participate, but your school must be an active Rho Kappa member. And in the case of elementary students, the candidate must attend a school within Pennsylvania or New Jersey to be able to participate. Make sure your logo and art are unique and original. There will be two winners of the contest, one from the second category and the second from elementary. The secondary winning entry will be awarded a cheque amounting to $500.00 to support Rho Kappa at your school, and the elementary winning entry will be given a set of classroom social studies decorations and materials. The Deadline for the same is October 13, 2021, at 11:59 pm ET.

NCSS draws in and upholds instructors in fortifying and advocating social studies. With members in every one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, and 35 nations, NCSS fills in as an umbrella association for elementary, secondary, and college instructors of history, civics, topography, financial aspects, political theory, humanism, brain research, human sciences, and law-related training.

How to Apply?

To enter the contest, the candidates need to submit a logo or artwork expressing the following theme: “Revolutionary! Ideas, and Actions Change the World”. 

The artwork can be uploaded to the submission forms given on the portal in any of the following formats: eps, .ai, or .pdf. The submission form must be completed providing all the asked information.

The artworks submitted will be judged based on the originality and the best presentation of the theme. There will be two winners of the contest, one from the second category and the second from elementary. The secondary winning entry will be awarded a cheque amounting to $500.00to support Rho Kappa at your school, and the elementary winning entry will be given a set of classroom social studies decorations and materials.
