NASA would like to draw your attention to its amazing competition named “Advanced Air Mobility Safety Poster Contest”. This poster contest is currently looking forward to accepting applications from students enrolled in grades 6 – 12. Through this program, NASA aims to encourage students to turn their amazing ideas into a poster to promote safe driving. As a part of this contest, each contestant will help NASA develop a series of safety posters to keep airspace safe and AAM a reality. NASA is planning to develop a safe, accessible, automated, and affordable air transportation system, and wants young students to share their safety ideas through posters that will not only promote this vision of NASA but also suggests better safety measures that need to be taken into consideration while executing the plan.
This competition is completely free to enter, and available for all children grades 6 – 12 who are attending public, private, parochial and home schools in the United States of America and children grades 6 -12 of U.S. military members stationed overseas. The entry period is open from September 15 through October 15. Only one entry from one candidate is allowed. Their program also carries some rules such as the artwork must be original work of students; artwork should be submitted as a high resolution; each file must be under 5 megabytes in size and artwork must be submitted in .jpg or .png format etc. The artwork received from candidates will be judged based on originality, interpretation of subject matter/theme, creative techniques, composition, and overall art appearance.

Who is Eligible?
This competition is open to all children grades 6 – 12 who are attending public, private, parochial and home schools in the United States of America and children grades 6 -12 of U.S. military members stationed overseas.
How to Apply?
Candidates will have to create a safety poster that should represent one of the following mediums: drawing and painting. The entry can be submitted through email to hq-aam-stem@mail.nasa.gov. If you are a teacher who would like to submit a student’s artwork, you may do so. However, you will need to have an acknowledgement that the parent or legal guardian agrees on behalf of their child to the terms that this program has.
Rules
- Artwork must be an original work of the student
- Students must be currently enrolled in grades 6 – 12
- Artwork is limited to one entry per student
- Artwork should be submitted as a high resolution (e.g. minimum of 2,400 pixels by 2,400 pixels) image of the student’s original artwork
- Each file must be under 5 Megabytes in size
- Artwork must be submitted in .jpg or .png format
- Art can represent the following mediums: drawing and painting (i.e., pencil, charcoal, pastels, colored pencils, oil paints, acrylics, water media, mixed media/collage) and original digital creations
