Middle Tennessee State University Buchanan Fellowship

Middle Tennessee State University is now searching for academically motivated and passionate candidates for its excellent Buchanan Fellowship. This funding scheme will grant monetary support to only newly admitted undergraduate students of Middle Tennessee State University.

Middle Tennessee State University’s Buchanan Fellowship is regarded as the highest academic award. This programme is offered up to twenty deserving students per year by MTSU Honors College. It is named in the honor of MTSU’s Nobel Prize-winning alumnus, Dr James M. Buchanan. Through this fellowship, students can get financial support to develop their skills and gain further education in their chosen field.

Highly rated courses, modern facilities, amazing campus life, and high-quality teaching are some of the aspects that make Middle Tennessee State University the right place for every student. The history of this institution can be traced back to 1911 when it was established as a normal school. It is divided into nine colleges which are home to a variety of academic facilities. At this institution, students can choose from three hundred undergraduate and graduate degree courses available in various study fields.

Who May Be Eligible?

Only those who stand on these norms should begin the application process:

  • Applicants must apply for undergraduate admission to Middle Tennessee;
  • Candidates should complete and return the Buchanan application form to the Honors College by December 1 of the year before fall enrollment;
  • Aspirants should have a high school GPA greater than or equal to 3.5;
  • Entrants should have a composite ACT greater than or equal to 30 (or SAT equivalent);
    1. Before March 2016- SAT score of 1280 (Critical Reading & Math)
    2. March 2016 and future tests- SAT score of 1360 (Evidence-Based Reading/Writing & Math)
  • Participants must provide an official transcript of all high school work completed.

How to Apply

To be eligible to start the application process for Buchan Fellowship, candidates will have to take admission in an undergraduate course at Middle Tennessee State University before the deadline.  After that, they will get their M-number by mail, which can be used to create PipelineMT account. Supporting Documents

All candidates are required to provide their high school transcript as a supporting document. They might be required to submit their resume.

Benefits

Buchan Fellowship is a renewal for four years. All successful aspirants will receive a host of special benefits including a full-tuition scholarship for up to 16 credits each semester, special seminars, priority registration, a book allowance, priority consideration for study abroad, and much more.
