University of Tennessee is now awarding a new and exciting funding scheme called Tennessee Explore Scholarship Programme to recognize excellent students and reward their academic achievements. This programme will benefit to those applicants who are incoming first-year, out-of-state students with a minimum 3.6 GPA.
This wonderful scholarship programme intends to provide academically gifted out of state students with access to the opportunities available here at Tennessee. It will help them pursue undergraduate level education at the University of Tennessee by covering their study cost. Moreover, it will make it easier for students to avoid taking out loans for higher education.

Who May Be Eligible?
Recipients of this scholarship programme must hold the following credentials:
- Candidates must be incoming first-year, out-of-state students;
- Aspirants must be residents of the United States;
- Applicants should maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP);
- Students should maintain full-time enrollment throughout each semester.
How to Apply
There is no need to submit a separate application. All the candidates will automatically be considered for this scholarship upon applying for an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Tennessee by December 1. Candidates, who provide correct information and supporting documents along with their application for admission, will be admitted to study in an eligible course by the university.
Benefits
The award amount differs depending on students’ GPA and ACT/SAT scores. The scholarship will be provided each year throughout the students’ chosen course. It will cover the educational expenses of all deserving candidates so that they can enjoy their learning journey at the University of Tennessee without worrying about the costs.
