Liveyourdream.org has got an amazing opportunity for the women out there to participate in and win a chance to receive a scholarship amount up to $16,000. The Live Your Dream Awards are designed to provide monetary assistance to the women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families. It is the cornerstone program of Soroptimist International of the Americas, LiveYourDream.org’s sponsoring organization. Each year, more than $2.4 million in education grants are awarded to over 1,500 women and many of whom have overcome enormous struggles of their lives such as financial poverty, domestic violence, the death of a spouse, and/or substance abuse and whatnot.
The following scholarship has three rounds or levels of cash awards: first level, regional level, and international level. The women who get to reach the international level can win a one-time scholarship amount up to $10,000. Eligible applicants can submit their applications between August 1 – November 15. Ultimately, a Live Your Dream Awards finalist has the potential to receive up to $16,000 to help offset tuition costs, purchase books, get transportation, or find reliable childcare so she can worry less about how to pay her bills and focus on reaching her dreams. This is a generous initiative taken by liveyourdream.org to provide support to the women who struggle all through their lives during their education and even during starting with their careers.
LiveYourDream.org is a movement fiercely dedicated to ensuring every woman and girl has the opportunity to reach her full potential, be free from violence, and live her dreams. They provide advocacy and action opportunities to spread awareness about causes such as access to education, empowering girls, and ending violence against women. Who is Eligible?
Following are the eligibility requirements for the following scholarship contest:
- Provides the primary financial support for yourself and your dependents. Dependents can include children, spouse, partner, siblings, and/or parents.
- Has financial need.
- Is enrolled in or has been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.
- Is motivated to achieve your education and career goals.
- Resides in one of Soroptimist International of the Americas’ member countries/territories (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guam, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Taiwan, United States of America, Venezuela).
- Has not previously been the recipient of a Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity or Live Your Dream Award.
- Does not have a graduate degree.
- Is not a Soroptimist member, an employee of Soroptimist International of the Americas, or immediate family of either
How to Apply?
The interested individuals are required to fill out the application form given on the scholarship portal by providing all the correct and reliable information. Additionally, the candidates are required to do the following:
- Plan Your Two References: Think about who your two biggest cheerleaders are… they can be mentors, teachers, counselors, supervisors, colleagues, or case managers. No need to collect letters. We’ll provide a referral form in the Application Portal.
- Draft Your Personal Statement: In 750 words or less, tell us about the challenges you’ve faced and how you think this award could help you live your dream. Let us hear your voice in your story. You’ll submit your personal statement in the Application Portal.
Benefits
The applications submitted by you will be reviewed and judged by the selection committee and out of all, the most deserving women will be selected as the winners of the following scholarship and be granted the following benefits:
- Club-Level: Award amounts vary, but club-level recipients receive an average of $1,000 from a local Soroptimist club.
- Region-Level:Local recipients then become eligible for a $3,000 or $5,000 region-level award.
- International Finalists:Region-level award recipients then become eligible for one of three international awards and can receive up to $10,000.

The deadline for the application submission for the following contest is November 15, 2021. No applications will be considered after this date.
