Laurel Festival Scholarship for High School Students

Are you interested in becoming the Laurel Queen and Laurel King? If you are planning to appear for this contest, the Laurel Festival Scholarship program. Laurel Festival will provide the opportunity to all the students to achieve the reward of scholarship and will get to act as a Laurel Queen and Laurel King if they are selected. The organization will be providing a scholarship worth $1500 as a reward for begging eligible for the scholarship.

They aim to motivate the students to develop leadership quality in them through this scholarship. They try to motivate the student to experience life as the king and the queen for once. And let them handle the community abided with rules as in the past it used to be. Through this, the individual will develop the leadership quality in them and improve the decision quality.

For many years the lunar king and queen festival has been going on. This festival is celebrated in the memory of the king and queen who world for the development of the community. This festival is conducted to complete the ritual for many years. The scholarship is provided irrespective of the educational level of the application; the selection is based on the leadership quality of the individual.

Who May Be Eligible

Please go through the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for the scholarship:

  • Applicants must be single.
  • The candidate must be a Junior (Grade 11) or Senior (Grade 12) residing in the Town of
    Winchester or City of Winsted. They may attend any high school.
  • The fellow must be present for ALL Laurel Festival events unless approved.
  • Applicants should not take any alcoholic beverages during any of the Laurel Festival events as it is strictly prohibited.

How to Apply 

All students are requested to submit the complete application and submit it via Mail to Melissa Bird 75 Meadow St Winsted, CT 06098 or emailed at Melissa.oiseau@gmail.com. Kindly make a note the incomplete application will directly lead to rejection. Late submissions will not be entertained.

  • Applicant must submit the complete application
  • Applicants must thoroughly go through the application and send a written copy of agreeing with all the terms in the application.

Benefits

The scholarship will help the student to accomplish their goal and reduce their financial burden. This scholarship will allow the students to dream of higher education. The scholarship should only be consumed for paying the academic fees, tuition fees, and academic-related expenses. Two students will be selected to award a $1500 scholarship each.
