The GPO Federal Credit Union is expecting applications for its exceptional GPO scholarships called as GPO Federal Credit Union Scholarship and the New York Credit Union Association Scholarship. GPO members who are graduating high school seniors can apply for these scholarships.
The purpose of these scholarships is to support the education of deserving GPO members. The programs aim to reduce the financial burden on the candidates and encourage them to do better in their careers. The goal of these scholarships is initiated to help the students pay their education-related costs and complete their education without second thoughts. The programs are designed to help the members make the most of their educational opportunities.
The GPO was founded in 1931 by a group of forwarding thinking postal employees. The GPO or Government, postal, and occupation originally served the postal workers based in the Federal Building in Utica. The GPO is the largest credit union in the area serving more than 30000 members from different counties. Their goal is to serve their members best and help them achieve their career goals with different programs.

Who May Be Eligible?
If you are interested in the programs, then please check the eligibility criteria before applying:
- GPO members who are graduating high school seniors can apply for these scholarships.
- The member must be attending college for the first time in the fall of the next academic year.
- The fellow should be enrolled in either a two or four-year accredited educational institution.
How to Apply
Only the eligible students should begin with the application process. Candidates should download the application and complete it with all the needed details with concern. All the supporting materials should be provided with the application. Please avoid submitting late applications not to be rejected. The Union will not entertain incomplete applications. Fellows must submit the complete application to any of their branch email email@example.com.
- Transcript and essay must be submitted in word or pdf format.
- The applicant’s guardian must complete the certification on the last page of the form.
The selected students will receive awards ranging from $250 to $1500. This money would only be used to cover the students ‘ educational expenses such as tuition, books, fees, and other associated costs. This curriculum motivates students to do well and retain good academic status throughout their careers. The scholarship encourages students to benefit society with their education.
The deadline to apply for the scholarships is January 5, 2021. The Union will reject incomplete or late applications.
