The incoming first-year students from historically underrepresented populations (Hispanic or Latino, Alaskan Native, African American or Black, Native Hawaiian, or other pacific islanders, or multiracial) having exhibited strong academic achievement, leadership within civic engagement, and having a considerable potential to contribute to the college community and beyond.

How to Apply

The first step towards your application is to apply for admission to the college before the deadline. Fellows should submit the FAFSA and, after that, complete the GOLD scholarship application. Candidates must submit all the required details and complete assignments before the scholarship deadline. The college will reject late or incomplete applications.

Supporting Documents

Essay on any of two topics; how have your life experiences and educational pursuits informed your understanding of the importance of diversity, inclusion, and equity? How do you intend to contribute to equity, inclusion, and efforts of diversity at the college?

Benefits

Selected recipients of the scholarship will receive $5000 each year. This amount will be used to defray educational costs. This scholarship is renewable, encourages students to maintain a good academic record, and encourages them to achieve their career goals and benefit the college and their society with their skills and education.

Application Deadline

The deadline to apply for admission is November 15, 2020. The last date to apply for the scholarship is January 4, 2021. No late applications will be accepted.
