With the motive of helping internal auditors advance their career and gain certification, the Institute of Internal Auditors has launched a program under the name of “Elevate Internal Audit Scholarship.” This scheme has been dedicated to providing access to training for internal auditors through need-based and merit-based application criteria. So far, it has helped more than two hundred through its scholarship programs totaling more than $150,000 in amount. Internal audits from the United States and Canada may get financial assistance from this program to achieve certification. Elevate Internal Audit Scholarship targets at helping individuals working in this field further their careers and fund their new career-related endeavors.
The Institute of Internal Auditors will grant up to 15 scholarships each year to deserving applicants. The application period for the current scholarship is open until November 17. The winner will be declared in December 2021. The total value of each scholarship is more than $2,000 and will be put toward covering the cost of training and certification for all three parts of the CIA exam. The requirements of this program are that entrants must be applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or higher, an active Internal Audit Practitioner designation, or hold five years of internal audit experience. The only resident of the United States or Canada can compete for this program.

Who is Eligible?
Meeting the following requirements is mandatory:
- Internal audit professional in the private sector seeking designation as a Certified Internal Auditor.
- Must meet one of the following requirements for entrance to the CIA program:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher,
- Hold an active Internal Audit Practitioner designation, or
- Possess five years of internal audit experience.
- Resident of the United States or Canada.
