Crucible Youth and Adult Scholarships

Every year, the Crucible offers many fully and partially paid scholarships for youth and adults who cannot afford to participate in classes and camps. The grant is over $100,000 in amount and given in the form of youth and adult scholarships, holding 20% class spaces for scholarship students. Their aim is to provide students with enough monetary assistance and reserved seats in the classes and camps. These scholarships are funded by the crucible’s general funds, foundation grants, and individual donations.

The crucible focus on those section of students who are from low-income households, BIPOC, LGBTQIA, disabled, and neurodivergent youth and families. To be eligible for this scholarship the student must be residing or attending school in West Oakland or the east bay. The following scholarship is being offered on a first-come, first-served basis and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Also, the crucible has the right to cancel scholarships at any time for any reason.

The crucible focuses on empowering creative exploration and expression through welcoming, hands-on arts education and insights for individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds. The crucible is well renowned as the market leader for the Bay Area arts community. The crucible is popularly famous for its extraordinary learning experiences, rich and diverse art programs, skilled and devoted staff and excellent education facilities.

Who is Eligible?

Following are the eligibility requirements that need to be satisfied for participating in the following scholarship contest:

  • The applicant must be living or attending school in West Oakland or the East Bay.
  • The applicant must be from Low-income BIPOC,LGBTQIA, disabled, and neurodivergent youth and families, and those who need financial support to attend are welcome to apply.
  • The applicants must be 8-17 years old.

How to Apply?

The interested individuals are required to fill out the application form provided on the scholarship portal and submit it no later than three weeks early from your classes begin.

Benefits

Applications, once received, will be reviewed by crucible. Scholarships will be awarded to youth and adults based on the strength of their applications, financial need, and class availability. The scholarship award winner will be notified by email or phone at least one week early from their class start date. The winner will be awarded the scholarship for the fall class and the chance to participate in the class.

The deadline for application submission for the following scholarship is October 1, 2021. No applications will be considered after the deadline.
