The contest theme for the Book of Mormon Central Art Contest 2021 is artwork depicting scenes and stories from the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the latter days. Artists can submit pieces dealing with passages from the Doctrine and Covenants, historic sites of the Restoration, people from Church History, and more. Also, artists can continue to submit artwork of the Book of Mormon, as in years past.
Art contests like these that require painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, poetry, artistic performance, music, etc., can push young and old people out of their comfort zones and test their limits. People can express their creativity, innovations, meet people with similar interests and receive valuable feedback on their artworks. They can test if what they created is worthy of prize or not and what they can do to improve for next competitions.
