We all know that many wild species are in danger and on the edge of extinction today. These wild species include tigers, rhinoceros, mountain gorilla and others. The reasons behind their population decline are habitat loss, hunting, overfishing, pollution and climate change etc. Animals are losing their habitats because humans are destroying the forest for the sake of their needs. Humans are transforming forests into farms and building factories, mentions and hotels where animals’ habitat exists. Human interference in wildlife has resulted in human-wildlife conflict. Protecting wild species and their habitats has become more critical than ever. Keeping this in mind, Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey has developed a program named “Species on the Edge 2.0 Social Media Contest” for high school students from across the state.
To be a participant in this contest, all candidates will need to send a series of original social media posts showing the importance of wildlife protection in New Jersey. This is a fund as well as an educational contest inviting candidates to contribute to raising awareness of wildlife conservation. The best part of this contest is that it is free, so students do not need to submit any fee to become a part of this program. As a participant of this program, all you need to do is create an original contest that can be video, text, photograph and computer graphic to encourage others to support wildlife protection. Or candidates can utilize existing Conserve Wildlife Foundation content to create a series of 8 posts focusing on one of New Jersey’s vulnerable species that CWF helps protect.
Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey is a not for profit organization committed to protecting wildlife in New Jersey. Its mission is to preserve rare and imperilled wildlife species that live and breed in and migrate through New Jersey. Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey is a team of people dedicated to conserving wildlife and their habitats.
