Big Tex Scholarship Programs

Have you participated in competitive youth livestock events held at the State Fair? Then here is the opportunity to get rid of your financial debts. The State of Fair of Texas is proudly inviting candidates to apply for excellent Big Tex Scholarship Programs. Candidates should know that eligibility requirements and benefits of all the scholarships are different. The basic eligibility requirements include graduating high school seniors around the state of Texas participated in competitive youth livestock events happened at the State Fair. Moreover, graduating seniors from six Dallas Independent School District high schools in the Fair Park area can also apply.  An applicant who is seasonal employees of the State Fair of Texas or their dependents is welcome to apply.

The goal of these scholarships is to offer financial support to the students and help them make most of their careers. The purpose of these scholarships is to provide considerable expenses support to the students to reduce their financial burden. These scholarships are easy to access so that multiple students can apply for it. Applicants open pathways to success through these scholarships.

The State Fair of Texas is a well-known nonprofit organization. The Dallas State Fair & Exposition was started on January 30, 1886, a group of businessmen from Dallas John S. Armstrong, and Thomas L. Marsalis, James B. Simpson. Big Tex is the icon of the State of Fair and is known around the world as the tallest cowboy. The State Fair of Texas celebrates everything done by Texan by promoting agriculture, education, and community involvement through quality entertainment in all sets of environments.

Who May Be Eligible?

Eligibility requirements of each program are different. Mandatory requirements are given below:

  • The basic eligibility requirements include graduating high school seniors around the state of Texas participated in competitive youth livestock events happened at the State Fair. Moreover, graduating seniors from six Dallas Independent School District high schools in the Fair Park area can also apply.
  • An applicant who is seasonal employees of the State Fair of Texas or their dependents is welcome to apply.

How to Apply

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for scholarships through an online web portal. Fellows should submit their credentials to sign up, and if you do not have an account, you can create a new one to access the online application form. Applicants should submit all the needed details and other supporting materials with concern. Late or insufficient data in the applications will not be considered.

Benefits of each scholarship vary. Some are mentioned below:

  • Pete Schenkel Scholarship: $6000.
  • Youth Livestock Scholarship: $6000.
  • Seasonal Employee Scholarship: $6000.
  • Youth Livestock Contest Scholarships: $1000 – $5000.
