Corning Incorporated, Joe Trippi& Associates and Cohen-Friedberg Associates, LLC announced the Background Showdown Contest, which involves posting a photo from contestants’ webcam’s Point of View (POV). Ten winners are chosen and awarded a Razer Kiyo Pro designed with tough Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 each, and the top three winners from these ten individuals can also win a Razer Iskur gaming chair. This photo contest is only open to residents of the United States, and entrants can follow @Razer and @corninggorilla on Twitter. Along with the photo, entrants must also comment on their background & include #bgshowdown. Background Showdown Contest photographs can display loaded bookshelves, minimalistic walls, RGB backlighting, and anything showing individuals’ background game as the entries will be judged on composition, clarity and creativity.
Well-executed photos display uniqueness and creativity. Through photo contests, both consumers and sponsors/organizers can gain something. The organizers gain the contact details of the participants through the online form completed by entrants. These phone numbers and emails can help them increase and improve their advertising and marketing. Also, consumers can receive a chance to win prizes and simultaneously promote themselves, especially if they are interested in photography. Photo contests, depending on the requirements, can push people out of their comfort zone and improve their photography skills.
