These all things that our space contains are enigmatic and draw the attention of people toward their eye-catching beauty. Many people are curious to know about space, and that is the reason why space companies are witnessing progress and space missions are seen as hot topics nowadays. When it comes to astrophotography, individuals who possess an interest in exploring space find it as an ideal field for them. With the multitude of career opportunities, astrophotography is known to be a popular genre of photography among people. To provide a platform for such young astrophotographers to follow their passion and show their talent, Hevelianum has designed a wonderful “AstroCamera International Astrophotography Competition” for 2021.
AstroCamera International Astrophotography Competition is presented by Hevelianum annually and has been dedicated to astrophotography and helping those who love astronomy or photography. The idea of establishing such a fantastic program for emerging astrophotographers came into existence in 2011, a year of Johannes Hevelius, marking his 400th birthday. The very first edition of the contest was introduced on 28 January 2011. And the competition received appreciation and love from around the world, which helped it become an international program. Every year, Hevelianum receives thousands of pictures of the sky from across the globe. Don’t miss this opportunity! Grab your camera and take some beautiful shots of the sky and send them to Hevelianum.
Hevelianum is recognized for dealing with science and history as well as offers lovely space to relax people. It organizes interactive exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations, a mobile planetarium and special events to serve science. At Hevelianum, you can find presentations, historical walks and shows by reconstruction groups.

Who May Be Eligible?
Photographers of any level can be a part of this program. There is no geographical restriction.
How to Apply
To enter this competition, candidates will have to fill out an online application form with all correct and complete information and sent it solely at astrocamera2021@hevelianum.pl. An entry must include a single photograph or a series of photographs taken, as well as photograph details form. A series of photos includes photographs of the same object or the same astronomic event.
