American Legion Department of Michigan Scholarships

If you are a resident of Michigan, then here is good news for you! The American LegionDepartment of Michigan is proudly expecting applications for its worthy scholarships, namely William D. and Jewell Brewer Scholarships and Guy M. Wilson Scholarships. Eligibility requirements for each scholarship are different. Applicants should be a resident of Michigan and must be a descendant of discharged veteran or active duty service member to be eligible.  Fellows should have a GPA of 2.5 and a financial need to be considered.

The American Legion Department of Michigan is keen on Michigan’s development; they understand the first step towards the development is civilized society. For civilizing society, educating the youth is mandatory; that is why these scholarships have been initiated. The department wants to offer relief to the deserving descendant of honorable veterans. These scholarships are designed to reduce the financial burden and help them complete their education without any stress.

Benefits

The benefits of each scholarship are mentioned below:

  • William D. and Jewell Brewer Scholarships: Will be offered to 5 students for $500 each.
  •  Guy M. Wilson Scholarships: Will be offered to 15 students for $500 each.
  • This amount must only be utilized to pay the education-related expenses of the students. These scholarships encourage students to contribute to the growth of Michigan.
