A Richard L. Brooks Memorial Scholarship Essay Contest

The American Galvanizers Associations (AGA) is proud to offer their Galvanize the Future: A Richard L. Creeks Memorial Scholarship essay contest for undergraduate and graduate students to participate and show their writing talent. If you think you are good at writing and can excel in this competition, then you must try applying for it. The following writing essay contest was created with the motive to help future specifiers with the increasing expense of acquiring education today. The contest awards two grants annually with the amount of $2,500 each for the two top essays submitted. Applicants must submit their applications before March 31, 2022.

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage students with realizing their talent in writing and have their way to win the scholarship money which can be further used for covering educational costs. As for eligibility, Any undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a full-time or part-time study program at an accredited college or university only in North America, during the 2021-2022 academic year is welcome to apply. Students enrolled in high school are not eligible to apply. Eligible majors include architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or other related fields. The winners will be notified and declared on the AGA site in May 2022. The grant will be paid straightforwardly to the understudy’s educational institution.

How to Apply?

Since it’s an essay contest, so in order to participate, it’s very obvious that candidates will have to write an essay. The essay topics are given on the application portal. The candidate can choose one topic as per convenience and submit it there only by completing the application form given there. The essay must be between 1000-1200 words.

Benefits

The essays will be judged based on relevance, accuracy, conciseness, and ingenuity. The reviewers at AGA will judge your essays and select the two winning recipients. The winners will be notified personally and be declared on the AGA website as well. The winners will be given the prize money of $2,500 each.
