York County Conservation District College Scholarships

The York County District is eager to announce that they are accepting applications now for the 2021 college scholarships. They are inviting all the students attending any certified college and universities to participate in the following grant. The following grant awards two $1,000.00 Scholarships to any York County residents studying – or wanting to study –in the field of conservation (horticulture, ecological, natural history, natural resource management, or related science field). Candidates who are eligible to enter the program should be enrolled at or acknowledged, too, a certified college or university. The sole purpose behind this scholarship is to help students residing in York County with a small form of monetary assistance of $1,000.

As for eligibility, the applicant should be a York County resident and should be (or will be) going to an accredited university or college. The candidate should be (or will be) studying horticultural, preservation, ecological, natural management, or related science field. The candidate must currently be enrolled at or acknowledged for the college schedule for fall 2021 or spring 2022. The candidate must not have gotten a grant from us somewhat recently. There are three methods to apply for the scholarship; one can be done online through the official portal, the next can be done through email or by mailing to the direct address of York County District. The deadline to apply is December 31, 2021.

The York County Conservation District is the regional government office dedicated to helping residents of York County with their regular asset and natural concerns. The District was established in 1938 when 554 farmers marked an appeal mentioning help for securing the normal assets of York County. Today, they help ranchers, yet in addition all-district inhabitants, by advancing the support, improvement, and shrewd utilization of land, water, soil, and other related normal assets inside the County. Their mission is to accomplish their vision, the York County Conservation District will be proactive in giving preservation training, specialized administrations, and monetary help to empower the residents of York County to be acceptable stewards of their normal assets.

Who is Eligible?

The eligibility requirements for the following scholarship contest is as follows:

  • The participant must be a York County resident.
  • The participant must be or will be attending an accredited college or university.
  • The participant must be (or will be) majoring in agricultural, conservation, environmental, natural resource management, or related science field.
  • The participant must currently be enrolled in college or university or have been accepted for the school calendar for fall 2021 or spring 2022.
  • The participant must not have received a scholarship from us in the last year.

How to Apply?

To participate, the candidates need to complete the Conservation District Scholarship Application Form and submit a personal statement of Written Career Goals for their chosen field of study. In addition to that, a detailed written description of your Prior or current conservation activities, studies, or related field experiences – as an intern, student, camp attendee, employee, etc., or on your own must be submitted along with that.

Supporting Documents    

The documents that need to be attached with your application form is as follows:

  • College Transcripts (high school transcript in case of incoming freshman)
  • One letter of recommendation must be specific to the scholarship, written by a professional* who can directly attest to your interest, accomplishments, and projected success in your chosen field of study.

Benefits

The candidates who best satisfy the eligibility criteria and the requirements specified will be considered the most deserving recipients of the scholarship. The two recipients will be selected as the final beneficiaries and be given the one-time award of $1,000 each.

Application Deadline

Applicants must submit their application packets no later than December 31, 2021. The applications received later this date will be ignored.
