Westport River Watershed Alliance is inviting candidates from their city to participate in their photo contest, where the local photographers can win the opportunity to get featured in the 2022 calendar. This is a great chance for the artists to showcase their amazing photography skills to the world. The Image should display the natural diversity of the area which may include rivers, streams, waterfalls, plants, etc. The applicants are asked to mention their names on their photographs so that they can be credited in the calendar. This is an opportunity for all those who want to pursue a career in the field of photography. There are no age bars for participation. The only condition required is the image quality which should be high resolution and at least 10 × 8 inches in size.

Watershed Alliance is grateful to all those candidates who share the images captured by them every year for calendar publishing. The calendar also features the chart of tides every year. WRWA is thankful to all the candidates for their share as their pictures inspire the appreciation and celebration of Westport’s beautiful estuary. Also, since the image is required to have a title matching to it, this will help you open up your imagination and work for your own betterment. Moreover, the contest is free for all so anyone and everyone can take part in the contest. The local public is gracefully invited to take part in the contest and showcase their amazing talents.

Westport River Watershed Alliance was started in 1976 with a total of 15 members which has now successfully grown into a team of over 2000 people. They have worked on various projects related to the promotion of education for all ages, performing scientific research and advocacy for the environment, and celebrate the Watershed. The major programs initiated by WRWA are water quality monitoring, river news, Watershed education program in local schools. WRWA has developed itself into a leader in the environmental grassroots movement in New England and is considered a role model for other communities.

Who is Eligible?

All the local candidates are allowed to take part in the annual photo contest for the 2022 calendar. The company is looking for landscape and nature photos that visualize the beauty and diversity of Westport River Watershed.

How to Apply?

To take part in the Westport River Watershed Alliance photo contest, the applicants should submit the following:

  • Picture in the JPG file format.
  • Image size should not be smaller than ten × 8 inches
  • File size should be 1 MB or above
  • The image size should be 300 dpi or greater.
  • Each Image should be titled by the artist. The title should be relatable to the image.
  • The name of the artist should also be included.
