In partnership with Student Veterans of America and Sport Clips Haircuts, Veterans of Foreign Wars is offering the Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship for US veterans.

This organization understands that veterans face financial hardship while earning further education in their respective fields, and that is why it has brought this amazing funding scheme to help them. This award will provide service members and veterans with the financial support they need to complete their educational goals without taking out any loan.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a nonprofit veteran’s service organization comprised of eligible veterans or military service members from the active, guard, and reserve forces. The programme is to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts.

Who May Be Eligible

To be eligible, the applicants must match all the following criteria:

• All applicants must be citizens of the United States.
• All aspirants must be retired, honourably discharged, active duty, or a member of the National Guard or Reserve.
• All candidates have completed Basic Training and follow-on training.
• All students separated with or currently hold a military rank of E-5 or below.
• All applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
• Aspirants must participate in, be accepted to, or currently enrolled in a VA-approved program or school at an accredited post-secondary institution.

All applicants will need to sign in with their existed account or sign up if they don’t have one to gain access to the portal.

Benefits

Scholarship worth $5,000 will be given to the successful applicants. Awards are restricted for tuition and fees only and will be paid directly to accredited schools.

Application Deadline

Applications for the spring semester must be received until November 15, 2020.
