Students concerned about promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle have an opportunity to showcase their passion and win funds. The Vegetarian Resource Group is introducing its scholarship program conducted to motivate students engaged in Vegetarianism. Applications for the program are open for graduating U.S. high school students.
The organization decided to give away the scholarship funds to appreciate student’s work and interest. The granted fund amount will also assist scholars in their several high-cost educational expenses. Applicants with the best descriptive essay will be handed over the scholarship fund.
The Vegetarian Resource Group (VRG) works as a non-profit organization. They are dedicated to educating the public on vegetarianism and veganism and the interrelated issues of health, nutrition, ecology, ethics, and world hunger. In addition to publishing the Vegetarian Journal, the organization produces and sells cookbooks, other books, pamphlets, and article reprints.

Who May Be Eligible?
Candidates with the below requirements will be considered for the scholarship program:
- Open to graduating U.S. high school students
- Applicants must have promoted vegetarianism in their schools or communities.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates interested in applying can download a PDF of the application and submit it by mail to the below-mentioned address. However, applicants are not required to use an application form. A neatly typed document containing the information below will also be accepted as a valid application. Students are asked to submit all the mentioned documents with their applications to make a complete one.

- Must submit a copy of your transcripts or report cards for the past two years. (An official copy is not necessary. Photocopies of your report cards will suffice.)
- Three or more recommendations (including at least one teacher).
- Any documentation related to your promotion of vegetarianism in high school or community, including photographs, newspaper stories, etc.
- An essay on the mentioned topic on the website page.
The Vegetarian Resource Group awards $20,000 in college scholarship money each year. These scholarship funds include one award of $10,000 and two awards of $5,000 for deserving students. The recipients can utilize the amount for their further educational purposes such as tuition, fees, books etc.
The deadline declared by the committee to apply for the scholarship program is February 20, 2021. Students are asked to apply early to gain benefits.
