Children’s, grandchildren and legal dependents of OOIDA member willing to complete their higher education can apply for this program. This scholarship is renewable (four years) to reduce your financial pressure ultimately.
The purpose of this program is to offer support to the loved ones of the members of OOIDA. Since 1998 OOIDA has effortfully created this worthy scholarship program to help the students lower their financial burden. The association wants to make the lives of their members and their loved ones free of stress, and for promoting towards their growth, this program has been designed.
OOIDA or The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association is an international association uniting all the drivers and solving their issues related to the profession. The association comprises of 150,000 members who are men and women operating independently in the United States and Canada operating nearly 240,000 heavy and small trucks. The mission of the association is to serve the owner-operators, small fleets and professional truckers.

Benefits
The association awards one $2,000/year and four $1,000/year scholarships. This amount must only be utilized to pay the educational debts of the candidates. The award amount will directly be transferred to the student’s selected institution. This scholarship can be renewed for four years, reducing the extreme financial stress on the students. The scholarship encourages students to do better in their careers.
