The Charles Woodson & O’Neill Family Wine Scholarship

The Wine Business Institute at Sonoma State University is inviting applicants to apply for 2021 The Charles Woodson & O’Neill Family Wine Scholarship. Applicants must be a new degree-seeking undergraduate student who has applied for admission and is planning to attend SSU full-time. Fellows will only be considered whose demonstrated intent is to earn a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Wine Business Strategies in the School of Business and Economics.

The purpose of this scholarship is to expand the wine industry by giving it the right knowledge and expert professionals who are passionate about the wine industry. The program aims to recruit and retain high achieving people of colour or students from underrepresented backgrounds interested in pursuing a career in the wine industry. The scholarship encourages students to expand the wine industry with their knowledge and hard work. The program reduces all the financial burden on the students.

Who May Be Eligible?

Take a look at the set of requirements you need to follow before applying:

  • Applicants must be a new degree-seeking undergraduate student who has applied for admission and is planning to attend SSU full-time.
  • Fellows will only be considered whose demonstrated intent is to earn a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Wine Business Strategies in the School of Business and Economics.
  • Applicants must have a minimum overall 2.5 GPA.
  • Formal admission to SSU is not needed.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates should submit an online application form. All the required details and materials should be adequately provided to be considered. Please follow the deadline strictly; no late or incomplete applications will be encouraged. Fellows will be invited for an interview after being selected. The university will reject incomplete applications, so make sure you submit all the requirements with care.

Benefits

This scholarship will cover 100% of tuition and room and board to support the selected recipient over their entire college career. This scholarship will ultimately reduce all the financial burden on the students. O’Neill Vintners & Distillers will provide internships and mentoring to offer hands-on learning opportunities for scholarship recipients to enhance their college experience in the wine industry.
