The Belin Arts Scholarship was created to assist students engaged in the field of performing arts financially. The Belin Arts Scholarship was founded in 1964 by Peter Belin in memory of his father, F. From Lammot Belin. The scholarship was awarded by the Belin family with funds and has become a coveted annual prize. Both Peter and Mary Belin were influential philanthropists who were active in the performing arts community of Washington, DC. Peter Belin passed away at 69 years of age on February 23, 1982.
