Candidates must be residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania to be considered for the scholarship program.
The Belin Arts Scholarship was created to assist students engaged in the field of performing arts financially. The funds will be great enough for students to overcome their financial hurdles and help them in completing their higher studies. The program will help them to be independent and lower their financial burden and their families.
The Belin Arts Scholarship was founded in 1964 by Peter Belin in memory of his father, F. From Lammot Belin. The scholarship was awarded by the Belin family with funds and has become a coveted annual prize. Both Peter and Mary Belin were influential philanthropists who were active in the performing arts community of Washington, DC. Peter Belin passed away at 69 years of age on February 23, 1982.
