Montgomery County Public School is organizing the Take Your Shot Contest to encourage young minds to get vaccinated against the Covid-19 Pandemic. Coronavirus has been a deadly infection for the past year and needs to be treated. Taking the vaccine shot will prevent the virus from reaching you. It is important to break the chain. Therefore, the middle and high school students of MCPS are invited to submit their 30- to 40- second videos taking the shot or featuring the advantages of getting the vaccination shot. The theme should revolve around Why should everyone get the covid-19 vaccine? What makes you want to get vaccinates? When people, like us, get vaccinated, we can… You have to influence people to get their vaccination jabs as soon as possible to return back to normal life. The last date of submission is June 4, 2021.
The top 25 videos in English and Spanish will be posted on the social media websites of the County. Also, the best three videos will get a monetary amount of $500(1st position), $250 (2nd position), and $100 (3rd position). Also, an honorary award of $100 will be given. This is an opportunity to fulfill your duty towards society and making your community alert towards the importance of the vaccination drive. This fun contest can prove to be very effective and useful for the well-being of society. Also, you’ll get to showcase your creativity and a chance to get featured on the County’s social media websites.

Who May Be Eligible?
All the middle and high school students of Montgomery County Public School are eligible to take part in the Take You Shot Contest. The contest aims to encourage young minds to take their Covid-19 vaccination shots.

For participating, the candidates are required to submit 30- to 40-second videos exploring one of the following themes:

Benefits
The best 25 videos in English and Spanish will be uploaded on the County’s official social media channels. Three high school and three middle school videos will be awarded prizes in early summer.
