Motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death for teenagers and young adults. It leads to severe injuries, and sometimes it can result in death. As per a survey done by the NHTSA, 2,841 people in 2018 died, and a total of 400,000 people in the same year got injured in distracted driving crashes. Needless to say, distracted driving is a big threat to public safety, and people who are still supporting such habits need to be stopped. To do its part in educating people and making them more aware of the dangers of distracted driving, Sutliff & Stout has initiated a program named “First Step Scholarship Contest.” To participate in this program, candidates should be either out-going high school seniors or be enrolled in a college, trade school, or university as of the start of the fall 2021 semester.

This scholarship is the first step of Sutliff & Stout toward raising awareness about distract-driving and making our streets safer. Apart from increasing awareness about such a social cause, this scholarship will help students cover their education-related expenses and remove all the challenges that are preventing them from turning their dreams into reality. Supporting Documents
