The primary purpose behind offering this scholarship is to encourage students to talk about the social issue of racial inequality and how is that affecting the lives of black people. Today, the number of black Americans struggling with emotional distress is consistently increasing. With the increasing number of mental health issues, the need for proper mental health care is also increasing but as the statistics show that only one in three black Americans actually receive it. That means most of the black Americans are still not getting the care they deserve after all of the social injustice they get to face. These kinds of barriers can be discouraging for black Americans and cause great loss for their community. Therefore, through this social change fund united, bold.org along with many other supporters work for eliminating these issues and support the black community.
Bold.org for many years now has been providing free access to students who deserve to study but couldn’t have it because of financial issues. Bold.org tries its best to make it affordable and sustainable for the students to get access to the education they want and need.
