Rockford Scholarships

Rockford Promise is offering scholarship opportunities for the students seeking assistance to achieve higher education. The scholarships include Rock Valley College Scholarship, Rockford University Scholarship, and Northern Illinois University Scholarship. The students who have attended a Rockford Public School for all four years of high school are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.

Who May be Eligible?

The candidates interested in applying for the Rockford Scholarships must adhere to the eligibility requirements-

For Rock Valley College Scholarship-

  • The candidate must have attended a Rockford Public School for all four years of high school.
  • The candidate must have completed and submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    • The candidate must have an overall minimum grade point average of 2.5
    • Have applied to Rock Valley College

For Rockford University Scholarship

  • The candidate must have attended a Rockford Public School for all four years of high school.
  • The candidate must have completed and submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
  • The candidate must have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0.
  • The candidate should have an SAT score of 1100 or greater.
  • The candidate must be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and Illinois Monetary Award Program.• The candidate must have applied to Rockford University

For Northern Illinois University Scholarship-

  • The candidate must be residing in the city of Rockford
    • The candidate must have attended a Rockford Public School for all four years of high school.
  • The candidate must have completed and submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid or Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid by February 1, 2021.
  • The candidate must have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher, based on a 4.0 scale
  • Have applied to Northern Illinois University
