To support students of polish American descent in earning their college degree, Polish Heritage Society of Grand Rapid is now sponsoring a fantastic scholarship program for 2021. By making available such a funding scheme, this organization wants to nurture the new leaders of polish American decent. Applications are open for students attending Grand Valley State University, Aquinas College, Davenport University, and Grand Rapids Community College. Apart from this, candidates must be of Polish American descent and must provide a brief statement delineating their heritage.
Learning and education are considered the most important part of Polish culture, and to support this culture, Polish Heritage Society has designed this program. Due to the rising cost of higher education, it has become more difficult than ever for minority students to earn quality education in their chosen field. For such students, scholarship works as not only helping hand but morale booster. Polish Heritage Society Scholarship comes with amazing perks that assist deserving students to overcome the challenges that they are facing in gaining higher education.
Polish Heritage Society of Grand Rapid has been committed to organizing and sponsoring the longest-running, ethic festival in Grand Rapids. It has been promoting Polish-Lithuanian culture in metro Grand Rapids through art exhibits, lectures, events and sponsorships of organizations for more than 50 years.

Who May Be Eligible
You can win this scholarship if you meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time student with a minimum 2.75 GPA;
- All recipients must be of Polish descent, and must provide a brief statement (signed and dated) delineating their heritage;
- Financial need will be taken into consideration;
- All applications must be received by the Financial Aid Office by March 15.

Supporting Documents
- An essay in 50 or less words describing your goals in life, how higher education enters in these goals and why you feel that you deserve to get this scholarship.
- Attach any information that you feel is important to the application like any unusual circumstances pertaining to the financial need
- Attach your letter of recommendation from a person other than a relative to the applicant
- Attach a description/statement of polish heritage, signed and dated.
