American Welding Society Scholarships

The American Welding Society is ready to give you a much-needed financial push to help you achieve your goals. The American Welding Society or AWS is pleasingly offering worthy scholarships to the students. There are number of scholarships being offered with different requirements and benefits but candidates should mandatorily be currently enrolled, or will soon enroll, in a welding program or a related field to be considered.

The AWS or American Welding Society is passionate towards providing the students for their higher education. The society understands that paying for higher education is not possible for everyone and for supporting students with their needs society has created these scholarships. There are multiple scholarships available to free students from their expense barriers. These scholarships encourage students to expand the welding industry.

The AWS or American Welding Society founded in 1919 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to science, technology, and welding. The society has headquartered in Miami, Florida with 70,000 members worldwide supporting hundreds of thousands of industry professionals, including welders, business leaders, sales and service teams, manufacturers, vendors, associations, educational institutions, committee volunteers, and students to the welding industry.

Who May Be Eligible

All the program being offered have different requirements. The basic requirement is mentioned below:

  • Fellows must be attending trade schools, community colleges, and four-year universities.
  • Candidates should mandatorily be currently enrolled, or will soon enroll, in a welding program or a related field to be eligible.

How to Apply

Candidates should ensure their eligibility with the scholarship they are willing to apply. Fellows must log in or register for an account to get started on your applications. Applicants will need to create Academic Profile, with their personal statement and career objectives. Fellows should select the scholarship they are eligible with and apply by submitting the online application form. Provide all the mandatory supporting materials through the application.

  • Applications with personal statement and other mandatory materials respective to your scholarship are required prior deadline.

Benefits

All the programs have different benefits. As mentioned below:

  • National Scholarships: $2,000-$6,000+.
  • District Scholarships: $1,000 to $2,500+.
  • Section and District Named Scholarships: $1,000-$3,000+.
  • Welder Training Scholarships: (25) $1,000 scholarships.
