Brevard Humane Society is organizing their annual pet calendar contest where you can submit the impressive photographs of your paw-friends to get them featured in the 2022 calendar. To enter, the participants have to submit a photograph where the pets are depicted in a dignified and humane manner. The photos should be in a digital format in a file size of more than 1 MB. For valid consideration, the image should be printable on an 8.5” × 8.5” page. The entry amount is $10 for the same. You can also submit your passed pets under the head “in memory of”. For this criterion, you can submit a hard copy of 5” × 7” or a bigger size. The photos will be returned back to the owners after the contest. The entry amount for the said criterion is $50. The last date to submit your entries is July 16, 2021.
The top 13 photographs will be featured on the calendar, one of them being on the cover page. All the other entries will be featured in a collage. This is a great chance to showcase your photography skills and to get your pets featured. Also, all the funds received from the entries and sale of the calendar will be used to provide care and forever homes to thousands of homeless and abandoned pets through animal sheltering, wellness care, etc. This is charity work which should be done by everyone. From your entries, some of the other animals will get shelter and healthy living. You should definitely participate. The goal is to raise $1000 to aid animals in society’s care.
Brevard Humane Society, since 1952, has been finding homes as the oldest non-profit no-kill animal shelter and sanctuary. They aim to educate the community on responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals. They advocate for spaying/neutering to reduce the homeless pet population while providing quality care to Brevard’s abandoned animals by placing them with responsible, caring owners.

Who May be Eligible?
All the people who love their pets and wants the photograph of your lovely paw friend to get featured in the 2022 pet calendar are welcome to submit their entries. The cost of participating in the contest is $10. Photos of a beloved pet who has passed may also be submitted and will be honoured in a special “In loving memory” section for just $50 per photo. This special section is sponsored by the Heavenly Paws Chapel as a memento to the beautiful furry souls that have touched our lives.
How to Apply?
For participating in the contest, the candidate must submit a photograph of their pet in the stated format:
- The photograph should not feature any human along with the pet.
- All photos will be cropped into a square before they enter the judging process, it may alter the composition of the photo.
- All animals must be depicted in a dignified and humane manner.
- File should be in .jpeg or .tiff format.
- File size should be at least 1 MB and must print clearly at 8.5” × 8.5” to qualify for a month or cover page.
- To submit a physical copy of your passed pet, you can send it by mail to 1020 Cox Road, Cocoa, FL 32926. The media photo should be 5” × 7” or larger and will be returned to you after the contest.
- All entries must be received latest by noon of July 16th, 2021 at the website.
