Parkland Basketball Club Scholarship for High School Seniors

Parkland Basketball Club has happily announced the continuation of their scholarship honouring three Marjory Stoneman Doughlas victims. Scholarships will be awarded to three high school seniors who portray Joaquin Oliver, Luke Hoyer, and Alex Schachter’s qualities. This scholarship was initiated to reflect the characteristics of these three individuals whose life was stolen. This scholarship is available to the participating Parkland Basketball Club seniors.

This scholarship aims to continue the legacy, Joaquin Oliver, Luke Hoyer and Alex Schachter left behind. The club seeks to recognize students based on their academic excellence, sportsmanship, leadership qualities and contribute to the community. By providing scholarships, Parkland Basketball Club wishes to award the students for their excellent grades and contribute to their development by providing a helping hand in their finances. With the scholarship amount, students can forget about their financial issues and carry forward with their goals.

Parkland Basketball Club is a club that gives Basketball coaching to the students of parkland. They’ve pledged to play stronger and stay united after the loss of several lives in the Stoneman Douglas tragedy. They’ve decided to help students who show interest in Basketball by guiding them and assisting them financially.

Who May Be Eligible

Criteria for each program are different. Some mandatory requirements are mentioned below:

  • Applicants must have completed their junior year of high school to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • Candidates should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Individuals must have taken the ACT and/or SAT exams
  • Fellows must be enrolled in an accredited college/university by their high school graduation.

How to Apply 

Interested applicants can submit their application for the scholarship online. Applicants can send completed applications via electronic mail to kevin@jlegroup.com. Students must follow the deadline for the application seriously. Any late or incomplete applications will not be considered for the scholarship. Inadequate or invalid data will not be accepted to award any funds.

Supporting Documents 

  • Applicants must submit a brief typewritten statement reflecting applicants’ accomplishments in school, the Club and the community, and how they have impacted applicants’ lives and others’ lives. The statement should exceed more than 1,500 words.
  • Individuals must attach two letters of recommendation from family members. The scholarship committee will not accept letters from family members or relatives.
  • Candidates should submit an official copy of their recent school transcript.

Each scholarship program has different benefits. The Parkland Basketball Club Scholarships offers students a scholarship fund of $2,000. Students can use this scholarship fund for educational expenses. These scholarships encourage students to focus on their academics without worrying about their finances.
