Opioid Epidemic Recovery Scholarship is assisting students in completing their higher education. The Law Offices of Eisenberg and Associates are proud to offer this scholarship to raise awareness about the current opioid crisis. This scholarship is offered to students enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate programs in the United States.
The main motive of the Opioid Epidemic Recovery Scholarship is to raise awareness and spark in the conversation for change in legislation and regulation of opioids. This scholarship will also assist students to overcome financial barriers and to meet academic expenses.
The scholarship is introduced by founding partner Larry Eisenberg of The Law Offices of Eisenberg and Associates. Attorney Eisenberg is passionate about the well-being of people and strongly feels that the Opioid epidemic is a public health crisis that must be addressed to avoid further loss. Hence the scholarship is announced to raise awareness.

Who May be Eligible?
Entrants are required to fulfil the following eligibility and selection criteria to become a recipient of the scholarship-
- This scholarship is offered to students enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate programs in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are high school graduates or possess GED.
- All the eligible candidates must be good in academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

- A 750-word essay responding to responding to the following prompt: Given the current Opioid pandemic, what laws can be put into place to prevent medical professionals from overprescribing prescription medications such as opioids? How can we effectively fight this crisis?
- A current official or unofficial transcript from the applicant’s school (Note: First-year college students must submit an unofficial transcript from their most recent school, as well as an unofficial transcript from their most current post-secondary institution).
Benefits
The Opioid Epidemic Recovery Scholarship will award recipient with $1000 for an outstanding essay. The benefits for the recipient of the scholarship will be many. The scholarship will assist the recipient in overcoming financial barriers. Scholarship recipients will be able to pay for educational expenses, room-and-board, or other school-related expenses.

Entrants are asked to submit the application with all the asked required supporting documents before the deadline. The deadline for the Opioid Endemic Recovery Scholarship is November 30, 2020.
